Symposia & Sitzprobe: Angels
Opera San José presents a series of three symposiums followed by a Sitzprobe performance for the World Premiere of Where Angels Fear to Tread on Sunday, February 1, 2015. The Symposia run from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., and take place at the Le Petit Trianon Theater located at 72 N. Fifth Street in San Jose. Following a dinner break, a Sitzprobe performance of Where Angels Fear to Tread will be presented from 7pm to 10:30pm at the California Theatre, located at 345 S. First Street in San Jose. Cost: $25 per person for both events.

Dinner - Angels Fear to Tread

General Director Larry Hancock invites you to the Opening Night Gala Dinner for the world premiere of Mark Weiser's Where Angels Fear To Tread, February 7, 2015. Cocktails at 4:30 p.m.; dinner served at 5 p.m. The Gala takes place at the elegant Grand Ballroom in the Sainte Claire Hotel located at 302 S. Market Street in San Jose. $300 per person.

Meet the Composer and Librettist; enjoy delectable Tuscan-themed beverages, hors d’oeuvres, dinner and dessert in keeping with the opera’s theme. The Opera will follow with an 8pm curtain in the California Theatre, to be followed by an electrifying post-performance reception to mix and mingle with the principals and creative team for Angels featuring prosecco, white and red wines of the region, desserts, savories, tea and coffee in the Palm Room of the Sainte Claire.

Don’t miss the opening night reception for Opera San José’s new General Director, Larry Hancock, new Music Director/Principal Conductor, Joseph Marcheso, guest conductor and members of the cast following the opening night performance of each 2014-15 production. The reception takes place in the elegant Palm Room of the Sainte Claire Hotel immediately next door to the California Theatre, and includes savories and dessert, prosecco, red and white wine, coffee or tea. $50 per person. Advance tickets only; no sales at the door.
